SAGSAW Host Inspiring Evening of Racial Healing

Save A Girl, Save A World (SAGSAW), in partnership with Clark Atlanta University and sponsored by W.K. Kellogg Foundation, proudly hosted “An Evening of Racial Healing: Honoring Our Past, Present and Future Through Storytelling” in celebration of the Foundation’s 10th Annual National Day of Racial Healing.

Held on February 18, 2026, the evening brought together students, faculty, performers, community members, and leaders for a powerful experience centered around healing, heritage, culture, and hope. Through storytelling, artistic expression, music, movement, and reflection, attendees were reminded of the strength, resilience, and unity found within the culture. Throughout the evening, students and performers emphasized the importance of healing the mind, body, and spirit while encouraging attendees to embrace community, self-awareness, and collective empowerment.

One of the evening’s most memorable takeaways was the reminder that healing happens in community. Through performances like “I Need You to Survive” and “A Thread of Hope,” attendees were encouraged to continue building bridges of understanding, compassion, and equality for future generations.

As SAGSAW continues its mission to empower and uplift young women through mentorship, leadership, and intentional programming, events like An Evening of Racial Healing serve as a reminder that storytelling has the power to connect, restore, and inspire change.

Together, we honor the past, embrace the present, and shape a more hopeful future.
