Who is SAGSAW
Save A Girl, Save a World empowers female high school students and young women at HBCUs through a holistic mentoring model focused on personal and professional growth. Our program is built on four core pillars that shape confident, purpose-driven leaders.
Our Four Pillars:

Career & Entrepreneurship - Exploring career paths and developing entrepreneurial mindsets

Financial Literacy & Wealth Legacy -Building knowledge around money management and generational wealth

Health & Wellness – Prioritizing mental, physical, and emotional well-being

Lifestyle & Leadership – Cultivating leadership skills and personal development for lifelong success
Through workshops, mentoring, and real-world experiences, our program equips young women with the tools to thrive in every area of life.

Glenda A Gill
Founder
Glenda Gill is a passionate leader and advocate dedicated to empowering the next generation of women. Throughout her career, she has closed gaps and built bridges through economic development with distressed communities around the nation. She founded Save A Girl, Save a World to provide younger generations of women, both teens and college students, with mentorship, guidance, and opportunities to thrive
By bringing together a national network of accomplished women, Gill created a platform that helps young women build confidence, shatter stereotypes, and grow into leaders who impact their communities and beyond.

The mission is deeply personal. Save A Girl, Save A World’s work is also inspired by Gill’s late best friend, Kathleen "Kathi" Lynn Marie Wilkes, a trailblazing entrepreneur who had a deep love for youth. Her spirit lives on through the Kathi Wilkes Scholarship, awarded annually to support young women in achieving their dreams. Through Gill’s leadership, the organization continues to champion a future where every girl knows she matters and has the tools to thrive.
