We are thrilled to announce the winners of the "Beauty Dreams Come True" activity in Houston, TX! After an overwhelming number of applications, we have selected two exceptional young women who we believe will go on to achieve great things in the beauty industry and beyond.
Winner #1: Kayla Jade Dickerson
Kayla is a 20-year-old student at North Carolina A&T and the winner of the SheCEO Pitch competition. She has a passion for both beauty and entrepreneurship, and she dreams of starting her own beauty brand. For Kayla, entrepreneurship is about being able to do a little bit of everything and excel at it. She wants to live to work, not work to live. Kayla is also passionate about beauty because she believes in the power of first impressions and wants to help other women feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. Winner #2: LaTajah Lassus
LaTajah is a 21-year-old student at Clark Atlanta University and a participant in the SheCEO program. She is a multidimensional being with a passion for creativity, scholarship, and social advocacy. LaTajah's purpose is to actualize every amount of potential within her and show future generations that anything is possible. She believes that it's important to incorporate all parts of oneself into any project to truly make a difference. LaTajah's ultimate goal is to prove that people can make it through any adversity they face. You can find LaTajah on Instagram at @latajahlassus.
As winners of the "Beauty Dreams Come True" activity, Kayla and LaTajah will receive mentorship from a top beauty industry professional and a $5,000 grant to help them further their education and career goals. We believe that this opportunity will help both young women achieve their dreams and make a positive impact in the world.
In addition to these winners, we grandmothered students that were previous SheCEO participants to go Houston. These ladies have been driving all the recruitment and social media on Beauty Dreams Come True!
